Welcome
Introduction
West Ashfield Rotary Club meets every Tuesday at 6.45 for 7 pm at the Rifle Volunteer, Forest Road, Sutton-in-Ashfield. The Club was chartered in 1986, sponsored by the Alfreton Club with the assistance of the two other Ashfield Clubs, Kirkby and Sutton.
The Club's membership, currently numbering 27, comes from a wide area stretching from Ravenshead and Papplewick in the south to Chesterfield and Old Brampton in the north. Its area of operation covers ten communities straddling the M1 motorway and the Notts/Derbys border: Blackwell, Hilcote, Huthwaite, Morton, Newton, Pinxton, Selston, South Normanton, Stonebroom and Tibshelf. This dual county situation is reflected in the Club's symbol, incorporating the Nottinghamshire stag and the Derbyshire ram.
