Annual Charity Golf Day success

£2,950 proceeds to be donated to Weston Park Hospital.

Typical mid-May weather, with a mixture of sun, clouds and rain showers, didn’t affect the success of our Annual Charity Golf Day at Sickleholme Golf Club in Bamford. 23 teams had one of the most enjoyable days of competitive golf since our Club inaugurated this annual charity event. 23 teams competed for a magnificent range of prizes, which were awarded following a three course meal at the clubhouse.  Expenditure for the event was £3,092.78, with gross income being £6,043.00, leaving £2,950.22 to be donated to the Teenage Cancer Unit of Weston Park Hospital. This was the first time that the winning team of Jak Gould, Dan Housley, David Housley and Stuart Walters had either played at Sickleholme Golf Club or entered for our Charity Golf Day competition. But we are assured that they’ll be returning next year to compete on this magnificent golf course.
