Newark make it back to back wins
|
On Monday 12 May the final of the 2008 District Quiz was won in a unique way. It was a back to back victory for the 2007 winners, The Rotary Club of Newark. A first in the history of the District Quiz. Team Captain, Rtn John Marshall led his President, Rtn Paul Smith; Club Treasurer, David Pattinson and Rtn Ron Woolmer to a lead of some 3 points over the second place team. DG Roger presented the trophies to winners in the first three places and it was heartwarming to see that in the true spirit of Rotary that warm congratulations were offered by all the particpants to the winners. Warm thanks were given to the Quizmaster and all who helped arrange the evening. |
