Tony has been a member of Keyworth and Ruddington Rotary Club since 1998.

Tony is married to Jill and has five children and ten grandchildren. He is now retired. Most of his working life he was working in banking and financial services mainly in sales and marketing but latterly in general management. He was born in Kent but moved round the country before coming to Nottingham 27 years ago.

Tony was a member of three Round Table Clubs in Birmingham, Exeter and Bristol. His main hobby has been Rugby Football first as a player later as an administrator and a referee. Tony now supports the “Tigers” from the touchline.

Seventeen years ago Tony’s life was saved by the prompt action of the paramedics from the Kent Air Ambulance after a lorry drive into his car on the A2 close to London. Tony now gives talks on behalf of the two Air Ambulance services that cover our District.

Tony is looking forward to the challenge of being District Governor for almost sixty Rotary Clubs with nearly Two Thousand Rotarians. His ambition for the year 2009/10 is to meet Rotary’s number one challenge to “END POLIO NOW” and in doing so make Rotary fun for all those involved in our clubs.
