 Gordon
joined Rotary in 1992 when he became a founder member of the Rotary Club
of Horbury and Ossett Phoenix (District 1040) West Yorkshire. A year
later he moved with his job to Derbyshire and transferred to the Rotary
Club of Wirksworth. He has held a number of positions in both Club and
District, but he has always been a great supporter of the AQUABOX
Project run by the Wirksworth Club.Born in Liverpool he spent his life working in the food industry, both in Sales and General Management. Prior to his retirement he was Managing Director of a family owned Biscuit Manufacturer near Manchester. In addition to Rotary, he was a founder member of the British Heart Foundation committee in Matlock, and is chairman of the Property Committee at his local church, and is a keen DIY man. Gordon has been married to his wife Lorraine for 44 years , they have 3 children and 6 grandchildren. Lorraine is a member of the Inner Wheel Club of Alfreton.
